If you have already configured your Stockbook to connect to your YardsTech® Scales (see https://farmxl.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/51000176530), but you still can't see the scales when you select "Find my scales" in the Stockbook's Setup Devices screen, it could be because your Windows Firewall is blocking the Stockbook Setup Devices and Live Entry apps from accessing the WiFi network.


Try the following:


1. First ensure that the PC/laptop is still connected to the YardsTech WiFi network.

2. Close down Stockbook.

3. Click on the Windows button on the bottom of your screen and type in "settings" to find the Settings app. Start the Settings app.

4. Select "Network and Internet"


5.Select "Wi-Fi" 


6. Select "YardsTech properties" 


7. Select "Configure firewall and security settings" 


8. Select the 'Yes" button in the warning message 


9. Select "Allow an app through firewall" 


10. Find both "devdisco" and 'Live!" in the list of apps and make sure they are ticked on the left hand column and both Private and Public are ticked. You will need to select "Change settings" to change any settings. If either or both devdisco or Live! are not in the list, select the "Allow another app ..." button and navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\PracSys\Stockbook\Programs" (default location) and find "DevDisco" and "LiveEntry" and add them both. Hit OK when done.


11. Reopen Stockbook and again try and connect to the YardsTech® Scales.
